Deals + Steals for Dietitian Entrepreneurs
Man do I love a good deal. Investing in your business is necessary to move it forwards (or get up to date with current tech + programs) but I’ll admit it’s still scary. What better way to make it a little scary than by diving in when it’s on sale!
I’ve rounded up some of my favorite programs and tools I use daily in my business as a dietitian entrepreneur. I’ll update the deals and any codes needed as they’re revealed. Wooohoo!
Note: most of these are programs I currently use – I bought most of them the first time on Black Friday so I’m right there with you renewing them all this weekend. 😉 These links DO contain affiliate links, but I’m only including stuff I actually trust and highly recommend. You can read more about some of them in my business tools post or on my resources page too.
So here goes:
Black Friday Deals for Dietitian Entrepreneurs
The Unconventional RD Business Bootcamp Erica is one of all time fave fellow RD entrepreneurs and she spills it all in GREAT detail in her Bootcamp courses –> SEO Made Simple, Make Money Blogging, + Email Marketing Magic.
– Get more visitors to your website from Google (because building an audience is essential for every business!)
– Monetize that traffic once you have it (through affiliate income, ads, sponsored content, digital goods, online courses, and/or membership sites).
– Automate your marketing via email, so you can make consistent passive income on autopilot.
Deal: Buy 2, get 1 FREE. No code needed.
The Functional Nutrition Library. One of the first places I check when I want to learn about a new nutrition topic or double check the latest research. Covers tons of functional-nutrition focuses topics like chemicals, lab testing, nutrients, etc.
Memberpress. My fave plugin for self-hosting courses + membership sites. I LOVE the control it gives me over how I structure things. (I’ve written about this at length comparing Teachable + Memberpress – both great options depending on your needs. I’ve stuck with Memberpress after writing this and will be renewing again this year.)
Deal: 60% off all level plans (I use PLUS)
No code needed.
AffiliateWP. A HUGE factor in my sales success has been rewarding others for sharing my programs. The goal is to make a great program that people want to share with their friends and peers anyway, but there’s nothing like offering a monetary incentive as a thank you. This plugin allows me to create my own affiliate and referral programs directly in WordPress, giving me a lot of flexibility with what the structure looks like. Plus it’s really simple to make payments.
Deal: 25% off Code: BFCM2019
Interact. Fun easy to use software to create interactive quizzes – use them to grow your email list, a high-converting Facebook ad, or to help potential clients decided which of your services/products to buy. (Fun fact: DHQ Society member Samantha Scruggs teaches health professionals how to run quizzes in her course!) You can use it for free, but if you upgrade to a paid plan, you can integrate it with your email and collect leads + results (which is a no-brainer upgrade!)
Deal: 20% off any annual upgrade, forever. Code: SOTHANKFUL
Siteground hosting. I switched to Siteground last year and immediately saw improvement in my site speed (a huge factor in SEO! – although I’m still working on improving this one for my content-heavy sites). I’ve also had 0 site downtime since switching. They also include free security certificates for HTTPS (another big SEO factor and a must if you’re collecting payments on your site.) Their support has been great as well (pretty much a requirement in my book.)
Divi (aka Elegant themes). I’ve built a LOT of websites over the past 10 years and without a doubt Divi (specifically the drag-and-drop Divi Builder) makes it the easiest to build a fluid, modern, responsive site. I originally bought it to update one site and eventually switched all of my sites over to this theme. It also includes a social sharing plugin, an email opt-in system, and an additional theme called Extra.
Deal: 25% off No code needed
Teachable. If hosting programs or membership on your own site isn’t something you’re up for, I highly recommend Teachable. It’s an all-in-one platform that’s super user-friendly. Just add your logo, pick your colors, upload your content and you’re ready to start raking in sales. It includes the payment system and a built-in affiliate program (depending on what level you use) so if simplicity is your goal this will make you happy. (I also talked about this here.)
RD2RD. Why reinvent the wheel when you can turn to other RDs instead. Grab 25% off your purchase (think protocols, client handouts, business forms, and more.)
Deal: 25% off select items, 50% off daily deals. No code needed
Businessese. My fave go-to for all things legal. Their templates for things like sponsorship contracts, speaker agreements, privacy policies, likeness releases, etc. are the bomb.
My Fave Tools for RD entrepreneurs
I also have a big list of physical products I use in this post – hopefully some of them will go on sale on Amazon this weekend!
Now time to go renew all my licenses and go a little crazy on Amazon so the rest of the holiday season can just be about enjoyment and not shopping and crazy parking lots.
